About Veteran 7

MISSION

Veteran 7, Inc., is a Veteran-founded & Veteran-led 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization.

We connect Veterans with established agencies and organizations that provide opportunities for community integration, education, employment, healthcare and basic needs, both locally and nationally.

HISTORY

Why was Veteran 7 started?

Veteran 7 was founded in 2025 by John Hopper, a retired Command Sergeant Major with 25 years of active-duty military service, and his wife, Natasha Hopper. After retirement, they recognized the transition into civilian life wasn’t so simple and that many veterans were unaware of the benefits and resources available to them or simply didn’t know where to begin when they needed help.

They envisioned a welcoming place where veterans could connect with resources, build friendships, and find support without barriers or judgment

What’s behind the name?

The name Veteran 7 is a nod to military call signs, with “Veteran” serving as the organization’s collective call sign and “7” referring to the senior enlisted advisor within the organization.

Additionally, Veteran 7 reflects the organization’s commitment to serving veterans every day of the week. It also represents the seven core values that guide everything we do: Community Honor, Hope, Respect, Resilience, Integrity, and Selfless Service

Our mission is simple: Building Strength After Service.
